Announcements

• City Connections hygiene drive — last week

  This is the last week to bring September hygiene items. Drop them in the collection bin in the lobby — we collect, City Connections delivers to students and families in local Little Rock schools. Donations are also welcome through our giving portal if that's easier.

• Kids Harvest is coming

  Harvest Month begins October 1, and kids' giving in the galvanized tub at the front of the auditorium starts October 4. It helps fund Thanksgiving meals for Central friends and neighbors. Keep your ears and eyes open for Harvest info — it's coming!

• Trunk or Treat — trunks, volunteers, and candy

  We need trunks and volunteers for our annual fall event on Sunday, October 25 — games, food, or setup, there's a spot for you. There's also a bin in the lobby for candy donations; consider bringing a bag or two in the coming weeks.

• New 'Safe Team' signage around campus

  Signs will start appearing in strategic locations around campus in case an unsafe situation ever arises for any person on our campus. Helpful information and a QR code for reporting and contacting the team will be featured. The Safe Team is not the same as the security team — those hard-working fellows keep an eye on things during worship, though they will work in conjunction with the Safe Team.

• East balcony still off limits

  The East balcony continues to be off limits for worship. Thanks for pivoting while the ceiling is masterfully repaired!

• Wednesday night classes turn over this week

  This is the last week for the September Wednesday night classes. Gearing up next is a Communication in Relationships class led by Robert Hinojosa. Helping Hands will return! Acts, Fitness, and Helping Hands will continue.

• Central Teens — Area Wide and Campout

  Area Wide worship is October 4 — we can't wait to worship together. The Teen Campout is October 16–18, and the location has moved to Lake Ouachita. Sign-ups are live for the Campout and Fall Retreat, so remember to sign up if you're camping.

• Canvas Community Meal — October 14

  The next Canvas Community Meal is October 14. Rick and Barbara Jones would love a couple of extra helping hands for meal prep on site, or maybe in a more creative way.

• Sewing Group — Fridays

  Did you even know there is a sewing room? A group of skilled ladies meets every Friday morning from 9 to 11 in the sewing room. Anyone is welcome to join the fray with a project in hand or willing to take one up — they have several perpetual projects in motion, too. Nancy Lamb and Barbara Jones are your go-to ladies to contact.

• Ladies Day — October 24

  The annual Ladies Day at the Adkisons' is October 24 — mark your calendar, save the date. Guys, that Saturday is officially a Dadurday.

• Small Groups — October 4 and 18

  Small groups meet October 4 and October 18. If you've held off on signing up, there's no time like the present — fill out the sign-up form on Facebook or the HUB, or reply to the weekly email to get connected.
