The Youth Group at Central is focused on creating a safe space for teens and their families to grow together in Christ. As our teens mature in their faith and are launched into the adult world, it is important to make being like Christ central to who they are. Often this looks like weekly gatherings for prayer, study, encouragement, and laughter. We believe that it is key to be real, vulnerable, diverse, and faithful, from the Youth Ministers to the Graduating Senior to those entering Sixth Grade.Teenagers know and feel the pressures of the world around them. Being a follower of Jesus and becoming an adult at the same time is difficult. The world is constantly trying to tell you who you should and shouldn’t be and most of the time it is the opposite of who Jesus is. We want teens to be seen as solutions to the world’s problems, not problems to be solved. By walking with them through their challenges and treating them with respect, we form partnerships following God on mission and in purpose.
Every summer our teens go to Camp Caudle in Hector, Arkansas. They spend a full week growing spiritually while also building life long relationships.
